pumpkin fun

Halloween brought many fun festivities our way. With Halloween parties at school, church, and then at our home, our little ones were filled with the spooky spirit...and of course a lot of sugar!

Our annual pumpkin carving party took place again at our home, this time on Halloween day. Uncle Matt, Grandma, Auntie Tanya and I each carved pumpkins for the kids (with their direction) while Uncle Patrick and Steve watched the little ones run around. Anna picked out a complicated pattern for me to carve and then announced to Tanya "Yeah, and I hope she does a good job!". Every so often she would stop over to assess my work and to cheer me on.

The three little ones had fun playing together all afternoon, and the adults enjoyed the time as well. As the sun set later in the evening we headed out for tricks or treats. Anna LOVED trick or treating. We began at the home of one of her friends and then worked our way back home. At one cul-de-sac I told Anna that she could go to whatever houses she wanted and she literally squealed with delight. As she skipped down the street she exclaimed "this is the BEST time of the year!"

Emmett was content to just sit in the wagon after the 2nd house where he snagged a home made sugar cookie. He just sat, looked at all the kids and munched on his cookie. Easy to please!

With each year these holidays become more and more fun as the kids get more involved. Can't wait until next year!! I can see some holiday punch with eyeball ice cubes in our future. :)

Great pics Christa - it was fun to see you all yesterday to celebrate Halloween! It's become a fun tradition, and next year we'll have to host. :)

Love the pics of Anna/Emmett, and Emmett/Ty hugging...too adorable.

Love,
