Little Fish

Swim Diapers: $20
Pink Swimsuit: $15
Swimming Lessons at Lifetime: $120
Watching your daughter laugh, splash and have the time of her life: Priceless

Needless to say, Anna's first swim lesson was a hit. While she didn't enjoy getting the swim diaper and the swimsuit on (or off, for that matter), as soon as she saw the big water oasis in front of her, Anna's curiosity got the best of her.

We started the lesson by getting in the water and jumping up and down. Then we practiced kicking, floating on our tummies, swimming on our backs, blowing bubbles and dunking under the water. There were two other little ones in the class: Ryder (born a day after Anna) and Will (11 months). While Ryder and Will were scared and teary, Anna giggled and splashed and enjoyed every minute. When on her tummy she would try to scoop up the water into her mouth and then face plant her face into the water. I thought that would result in tears...but no, just giggles.

I found out today that we can add "fearless" to Anna's growing list of personality traits. At least for now anyway...
