easter

What a wonderful Easter weekend! We had such a fun time doing many fun activities together as a family, and with extended family celebrating Easter. With Steve off of work on Good Friday, we spent time together as a family and then the kids went to Grandma's for a fun night of sleepover fun. While the kids were away, Steve and I were able to enjoy Good Friday service at our church and a nice dinner out.

Saturday we played some more and then headed to Easter service Saturday night where we sang many praise songs and left feeling happy and thankful for all the wonderful things in our life.

Anna was so excited for the Easter bunny that she quickly hopped into her bed and went straight to sleep. At 5:30am her excited feet SPRINTED down the hall to our bedroom where she exclaimed "THE EASTER BUNNY WAS HERE!!!" and then she ran back to her room where she looked for jellybeans while she waited for her clock to say 6am. After a fun hunt around the house for jellybeans, eggs and their Easter baskets, we made Resurrection Rolls as a family and talked about the Easter story.

Shortly after, we headed over to Uncle Patrick and Auntie Tanya's house where we were greeted with family and tons and tons of delicious food, presented so beautifully! The kids enjoyed another Easter egg hunt outside and and ate more than their fair share of sweet treats. Let's be honest, so did I. :)

It was one of the most fun and memorable Easter's I have had in my adult life and I am so grateful. Happy Easter!
