Just a few days ago our little big man turned 3! Emmett's birthday was greeted with much anticipation. Each morning throughout January Emmett would wake up and over breakfast ask, "Mommy, am I free (three)?" Finally the big day arrived!
We celebrated over the weekend with a "construction" party. Emmett wanted a cake with diggers and dump trucks so I did my best to deliver. He sat next to me the entire time telling me where to place each digger, how many candy rocks to add, commenting on whether or not the road was "prefect" (perfect) all accompanied with squeals of delight.
Once his cousins arrived they put on their foam construction hats, aprons from Home Depot filled with plastic tools and went to "work". They hammered golf tees into styrofoam blocks, played trucks, ate cake, opened gifts and more. It was a wonderful day!
Thanks to all for making Emmett's 3rd birthday a day to remember! He's enjoying each and every gift and has been a very busy little boy!
