sleeping in

Last Friday Anna's bedroom got a bit of a makeover. For the past year her crib has been on the far wall of her room, which is an outside wall of the house. In the winter it tends to get a little cold, as the wind blows directly against that corner of our home. So, I decided that I would try moving things around to see if it would be a little warmer/quieter if Anna's bed were on the opposite wall, an inside wall.

Since moving Anna's bed, Anna has been waking up much later in the mornings. 6am used to be "sleeping in", but for the past 4 days Anna has slept until 7:45am or later every day. Perhaps it's a coincidence, since lots of sleep tends to follow a big eating/weight gain streak, I don't know. I also have no idea how long this will last...probably just long enough for us to get used to it and then BAM, we will be back to 6am. But regardless, we are all enjoying a few leisurely mornings for now.

The constant rain is making outside activities pretty impossible. Hopefully the sun will peek through soon and we can get back outside to burn off some energy. We'd love to enjoy some more outside time before the snow and cold set in. Until then, we pass our days running errands and playing indoors. Enjoy this rainy day!

What a great smile to greet one around the corner. Looks like Anna is still enjoying the "Peek-a-boo" game.
We hope the rain stops so you can enjoy these beautiful final days of fall. Nature is good for the soul and fresh air seems to add to sleep time as well!
We are so anxious to see all of you next weekend.
