Sinus Infection

Turns out the cold we thought Anna had was not just a cold! Yesterday Anna wasn't really herself in the morning and we noticed that her right ear was very red. It looked as if she had been scratching it and it was sensitive to the touch. So, to HealthPartners we went. Fortunately we did go in as we caught her ear ache right before it turned into a full blown infection and it turns out Anna also has a sinus infection. You wouldn't have known it given her sunny disposition all afternoon despite no nap! She was quite the character...the doctor got a lot of laughs as she tried to "help him" listen to her chest and check her ears and throat. But, now we have prescriptions and Anna is doing better already.

As an aside, Anna was weighed and she is up to 15lbs. 8 and a half ounces! This is over a pound more than she weighed just 6 weeks ago! Great progress...she goes in for her 9 month check-up on Thursday so we will get the rest of the measurements then.

Other interesting things Anna is doing: eating 3 meals per day, will drink out of a cup with help (she likes regular cups better than sippy cups), points at things - particularly the ceiling fan if you ask her where the fan is, talks a lot, stands for a minute or so when holding on to the couch, and screams with delight.

We look forward to seeing everyone on Sunday for Anna's baptism...
