A few days before Anna actually turned three, we celebrated her 3rd birthday with a gathering of family and friends. In talking with Anna you wouldn't have known it wasn't her actual birthday...for that day, and every day thereafter, she was convinced that she was indeed 3 and had put her "2's" behind her.
We met at a local park late in the afternoon for some outdoor fun. Complete with princess decorations, tiaras, yummy cupcakes, face-painting by Uncle Patrick and some "Papa" inspired gigantic bubbles, Anna had the time of her life. She relished sharing the day with friends and was overjoyed that people were there to celebrate her birthday.
Following her party with friends, we moved the party to our house where Anna enjoyed opening gifts from family and more celebration. If only you could have seen her eyes light up when she opened this...
And this...
Ahh, a dress and accessories fit only for a princess. Anna firmly believes she transforms into one each and every time she slips into this little pink number. These, along with so many other wonderful and generous gifts have been enjoyed tremendously these past few days since her party.

Over the course of the weekend we celebrated further by visiting the zoo with Nana and Papa, by playing in the yard with Anna's dear friend Maya who lives behind us, eating delicious food and relaxing.
