just beachy

Another beautiful morning, a great day for a family trip to the beach. We beat the rush and arrived in time to gather a spot underneath a large umbrella and settled in for a few hours of fun with water & sand.

It didn't take long for Anna to settle in. Surrounded by her sand toys, she scooped and poured and "pinkled" (sprinkled) with her pink elephant.

And then daddy "pinkled" Anna too

A break for lunch, then Anna showed daddy all of her favorite tricks, and tried a new one too...

Into the water she ran like the wind

She kicked like a dolphin...and then crawled like a crocodile

But then...she took a few steps out into the water and asked "should we go DEEPER?" in her sweet little voice. Daddy replied "sure" and they made their way out, step by step - each time with an excited "should we go deeper?" escaping her lips until all I saw from the beach was this:

My fearless little fish up to her chin in water, and loving every moment.

With promises of a yummy cookie, I lured her back to shore where I could play my own version of "deeper" by burying her sweet feet in the sand. What a fun, fun, fun morning.
