sweet success

Me: "Before we go to storytime Anna let's review the rules.
1. You need to sit down unless Kim (storyteller) tells you to stand up
2. We must be quiet in the bookstore and listen
3. No touching anyone else

Got it? Ready to go?"

Anna: "Yep!"
Me: "And what do you get when we are done if you follow all of the rules?
Anna: "A ba-la-loon!!!!" (balloon)

We reviewed these 3 rules and the prospective reward a few more times on the way and before we headed inside for storytime and singing.

On the way home our conversation went like this:

Anna: "Anna got red ba-la-loon!"
Anna: "Anna sitted down and be-ed quiet!"
Me: "Yes, Anna you were such a big girl and did such a great job! Mommy is SO PROUD of you!"

Ahhh, sweet success. I'll take every little one we can get!

This little girl is going to be quite the smart kid...if that isn't obvious already. It's so fun to see Anna develop and now understand practical things like "rewards", and other things.

Love you Anna!
